Tech Founder Helps Push New Conservation Program to Finish Line in the Legislature

“A Tampa technology company founder has helped drive a nearly successful push to create and fund a new $300 million state conservation land acquisition program.” That’s how Politico introduces Arnie Bellini’s role in trying to pass legislation (FL SB976 (21R)), creating the Florida Wildlife Corridor program at the Florida Department of Environmental Protection.

Said Bellini, “If you look and you say if you do nothing, here is what Florida will look like 10, 20 years from now. But if we take a few basic steps to preserve our wild spaces to connect the corridors so that we can have animal passage through those corridors, we can preserve a unique ecosystem forever here in the state of Florida.”
